Can I see JCV on NUVI205W TWN?(TSM 9.0TH)

thx a lot.
I don't like to change OS I just newbe.
If I wanna see JVC I have to use TSM 9.0TH+ THSNTT isn't it?
Now I just have TSM9.0TH only.
If you look back on this thread, you'll see a download link for the Thai JCV file.
Also, even if you have the JCV file, it will only work on the unit that supports JCV,
such as the nuvi 215w in Thailand (which is ridiculously expensive). If you have nuvi 2x5w, the only choice is to flash the Sg/My OS (which supports encrypted JCV).
Where in Thailand are you in? If it's not too far, I can probably help you to flash it.
You'll get: JCV, highway mode, lane assist, TTS (even on the 205w).

I have a 255w. Am I right assuming that I can flash this unit and then it will have lane assist capabilities? The links that are provided are in Thai, any chance of English language links?
Yes, you'll get lane assist capabilities on your unit (assuming the map has it). TSM9.0 does not have lane assist,
but CNSEA4.5 does.
Sorry, I don't have an English link. I assume you're in Thailand and you're using TSM9.0 or CNSEA4.5 with your unit.
First you have to make sure that your unit does not have the new S4 mainboard. If you just bought the unit,
it probably is and you'll get a brick if you flash it.
If your motherboard is S2 or S3 then you're safe. To check your board version, press the battery icon at the
upper right of the unit for about 8 seconds, you'll be in the diagnostic mode. The board version is next to the
unit model at the top of the screen.
And where did you buy your unit from? I want to know what firmware it is using at the moment.
You can check that at the about page on your unit.
Let me know and we'll go from there.

The MB is S3 luckily, I bought the unit (255w) in the US this summer and have downloaded and installed TSM9.0. The firmware is 5.10 GPS Sw 3.10b
Is there a benefit to flashing this unit if I am using TSM9.0?
I will have to see about installing CNSEA4.5. Which one is better by the way?
Thanks for the help by the way!
The flashing instruction by Earthkeeper is very detials.
When I flashed my 255W, 265W, it was the similar steps as explain.

Yes, you're correct. You can convert a 205w to 255w. The only difference is the model
number. All the features are exactly the same. As for 215w, it has an added bluetooth function.
I live in Samutprakan (Srinakarin Road). If you're near, we can meet and I'll help you
flash your unit. But first please check the version of your motherboard. Press the
battery icon at the upper right of the unit for about 8 seconds, you'll be in the
diagnostic mode. The board version is next to the unit model at the top of the screen.
Let me know what version is yours - S2, S3 or S4?
