    Default important Oregon firmware steps

Some more infos about actual Oregon firmware:

    Oregon 200, 300, 400

2.99, 3.01: Multi .img - support: no longer limited to 3 .img-files (gmapsupp, gmapsupp2, gmapprom.img), but the .img-files can be named individually, as long the suffix is .img. e.g.
    - Topo_canada.img
    - OSM_canada_2010.img
    - CNNTUS2010.img
    - cneunt2010-30c.img
    - ...

3.22: added Custom map - feature: by this, small pieces of raster graphics (= maps in jpg, png, bmp... format) can be shown on the Oregon.
    Especially helpful for topo maps!
Limitation: max. 100 pieces, each max. 1000*1000 pixel

3.60: the version i use on my Oregon 300. Recommended!

    Not recommended:
3.70 or 3.80: problems with maps which were unlocked with JM keygen. So these versions should be checked carefully.
Edited: it should work well with the new Garmin unlocker, described in

    Oregon 450, 550

2.20 (beginning): Multi .img - support

2.60: added Custom map - feature
