Hi catymag,I'm a newbie here. I just downloaded a China Map (7.5) which is has 2 .img file and one JCV folder. I have a nuvi 350 with N. american maps on it.
1. Can I install it on my nuvi so I can have both map at the same time?
2. When I put the .img on an SD card and put it into the nuvi, it shows "Can't unlock maps" and I can't use the map at all in HK. The download did come with an unlock code, but I have no idea how do unlock the map with it. Could you explain it to me pls? Many thanks.

Dear catymag, I finally managed to make the map working on my nuvi. However, I can only get the English version whereas the T. Chinese version, the Chinese characters do not appear properly. Is it because i have an english version device? Is there any way to "teach" the device so that it can read T. Chinese properly?

So if I want to ad two additional maps together with main one (preloaded) than I need to put one on internal memory and one on card or both can be on the card (765T)? BTW can I than navigate trough all 3 maps or need to switch from one to another?

Dear Catymag,
Tried renaming and copied file into Garmin directory of E71 as you instructed. When Garmin XT started, it asks for map key. Maybe I should put my question another way; where can I download latest unlocked version of malsingmap (Oct 2009) for Garmin XT? I am newbie here and your great help is much appreciated.

for malsing go in maps section and use search button it works like a charm
for unlocking maps follow this tutorial, instructions inside

Sorry..it may be around here somewhere. But is there a tutorial for installing maps to use in Garmin nuvi

Just saw the above ...does this means that the locked maps cannot be used with the garmin nuvis. Only unlocked maps.

Can the locked maps be unlocked for nuvi using keygen.
