Thread: Post here please your help request regarding Garmin

Hi catymag,I'm a newbie here. I just downloaded a China Map (7.5) which is has 2 .img file and one JCV folder. I have a nuvi 350 with N. american maps on it.
1. Can I install it on my nuvi so I can have both map at the same time?
2. When I put the .img on an SD card and put it into the nuvi, it shows "Can't unlock maps" and I can't use the map at all in HK. The download did come with an unlock code, but I have no idea how do unlock the map with it. Could you explain it to me pls? Many thanks.

Dear catymag, I finally managed to make the map working on my nuvi. However, I can only get the English version whereas the T. Chinese version, the Chinese characters do not appear properly. Is it because i have an english version device? Is there any way to "teach" the device so that it can read T. Chinese properly?
