No it doesn't work, it always shows no map.
Mapsource creates another file, during the transfer to the phone.

Itryed to change the ID inside, but that doesn't work.

The id of this map(europe) is 397, but even by changing it to 197, it doesn't work.(in fact the map doesn't unlock in mapsource with this id.)

Edit: I can upload the map.img, if you want to test yourself.
Edit²: When I try recover from phone, the map is recognized too, it displays the selection of France. It doesn't help much, but it may be helping to reduce the search fields
