I have a problem with GPSMaps_South america.
When i use the reg file: mapsource.reg :

and then start mapsource there is an error on 67 ??

How to get this one right !!!
i used mapsource fix to see wat is wrong:
it said:
32;67?;?;?;Incorrect link;
How to get this working ?
When i use different folders: eg: C:\Garmin\gpsmapsouth
( i rename it nder winxp)
and fill the registry with this:

no error but also no map in mapsource !!
i use mapsource 6.15.3

For those of you who have MapSource 6.14.1 installed and experience problems with non official Garmin maps: There is a temporary fix.

download the MapSource Maps Compatibility_v0.2_Beta.rar application.

Extract this file on your computer using WinRar and run the application. The application will indicate maps that would cause problems in MapSource 6.14.1 are indicated and fixed with one button click.

This solution is needed for MapSource 6.14.1 and over until Garmin map installers of the various suppliers are fixed.

I had Garmin MObile XT version 50010 and it was very good. I then upgraded to version 50020. Then I got the same things that you are saying here. It is like the grafic is to slow. When you got to a turn, the car is stil a step away from the turn.(I have a Nokia E66).

I have gone back to version 50010 again. Just used it today, and it is working very well. No grafic errors or lacks. It is fast and good.

So my advise is - go back to version 50010.

On my side, I am looking for maps of Ethiopia and Yemen.

Unfortunately, the African Eastern Maps stop at the boundary with Ethiopia (Kenya) and the Middle East Maps stop at the boundary with Yemen (Saudi or Oman).
This is somehow what I would call BAD LUCK ! :-))

So, if anybody has anything in this regard, pls lt me know.

I managed to get a calibrated map of Ethiopa under Mr SID (so readible with OZI Explorer). It does not allow routing of course, but it helps when navigating, at least.
