I did everything you've write, to the letter. I prefer to work with the Mapsource because i'm more familiar with it, although i know that it's an older program. As for 2D display of the Basecamp i've read somewhere that must be something wrong with my graphic card. For the 3D mode i don't really care because my device is a GPSMAP 60CSx.
