There are two types of JCVs - Raster and Vector. Nuvi 30, 40, 50 and 60 etc. support only the raster type.

D3048180A.JCV is for 2xxx/3xxx and all the devices receiving NTU map update.
After all these years and a ton of threads talking about it, I think users know it by heart

About G2S path look at garmindevice.xml in Garmin folder in your nuvi.

I know but I've confused me in the folder JVC found three types of JVC: D2152010A.JCV, D3048060A.jcv, D3589120A.JCV ?????

You can trash them all , a bit of mess in your nuvi lol

It's nuvi my friend, I have a 2757 and 1490

The only thing I'm not sure which need .sid. Current is D3585010A.SID, it is from maps 2013.10

It is old APT file (External Point Addressing). It was supported by Nuvi 2xxx too. But Garmin do not use this SID type since 2013.40 version. Maybe it was included to map file or maybe Garmin developer was tired to compile it and they get decision to rest several year Only USA map have this privilege at the moment. Although the USA map do not have Grey-Out search - score is 1:1 in match America vs Europe
I think it is the waste file for Europe now.

Thanks for the explanation in connection .sid file for nuvi 2350

Code Page 65001 handles Unicode features in NTU maps (NTU version includes Cyrillic ,Greek and non latin languages characters in labels search etc)
if you change it to 1252, you will loose unicode features, but map will work in your unit along NTU version addition files.
So you have to choose, because NT version doesn't provide some additions files for new units, because they don't exist in NT version that is for old units.(ASR2 for example)
