    Hello,
    Could someone please split CNENT2015.20 unlocked gmapprom1.img of 3.23 GB into 2 parts, 1.97 Gb for the external SD and the rest 1.26 GB for internal old navigators.

    Hi, seems no one has free time to do it; could you please advise me the right way to make these 2 files?
    Is it somehow possible to split the entire big .img file with a software or I have to download the mapsource and just create 2 separate .img?

    Install pc version, unlock and build the IMGs you want with Mapinstall.

    Have you downloaded a PC map version for Basecamp/Mapsource?
    MS is discontinued, dont use it for new City Navigators.

    thank you, I am now downloading the UnLocked Map Source Data: Part1 | Part2 | Part3 | Part4 | Part5 | Part6
    should work OK on my friends old nuvi using the old patched mapsource.

    Might be ok, but maybe not. Please follow catymag's advise which is to use MapInstall, not MapSource. This is correct regardless of the age of the unit. MS doesn't handle the large modern NT gmap folders perfectly and it can make errors in the compiled map .img which won't be made by MI. MS has been discontinued some years and is no longer supported by Garmin so it's best to just not take the risk using it for making map images.
