Put in the unlocked img/locked img(unlocked by imgunlock) in the sd card in the "Garmin folder" and opened up Basecamp, map is not showing up as well as in the Installed map info screen.

How have you named the map file? It needs to be gmapsupp.img in the Garmin SD root folder.
Check with GMapTool that it's correctly unlocked and that the MS Flag is set to '0' [zero] and not '1'. BC can't see maps with the flag set to 1.
Some units can only use map images of less than 2Gib. The full NA 2014.40 img is ~2.09GiB.

Still nothing shows up in Basecamp. unlocked version downloaded from post 15.
Everything is name and placed correctly.
Basecamp is reporting no detail maps found, chart info is not loading like it used to. Only the name of the usb stick.
Same thing is happening to the Europe 2014.40 unlocked/locked img file. (downloaded from both filehost website as well as torrent)

There are no map file links in Post #14.

And the rest: Did you check the MS Flag is 0 and it's properly unlocked with GMapTool? Tell us your unit details too.

255W is currently in the car, so I tested out with basecamp in Mac. Right not bootcamp windows is stuck on updating, been awhile since last time opened it, can't do anything.
Previous .30 releases worked ok, no need to set flag? Every Time is different?

Users intending to upload images usually set the MS Flag to 0 after they've compiled an image with MapInstall, but it's easy to sometimes forget to do so before posting.
255W with recent firmware can see two images in SD Garmin folder named gmapsupp.img and gmapsup1.img and size can be up to 4GiB for each file so the size of 2014.40 at 2.09GiB isn't a problem for your unit. If the img is correctly unlocked, named and placed it should be recognised by the nuvi.'Thanking Posts' are banned. Might anyone know where I could get the ASR files for this release? For 2014.30, I used successfully:

Not sure what they are named for 2014.40.
