In post #156 I see you have a nüvi 610. This model is not able to recognize more than one map file on an SD. You could put one map on SD (as SD:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img) and use the other one from the internal memory of the nüvi (as nüvi:\Garmin\gmapprom.img).Originally Posted by xXNuviXx

You seem to have two detail maps in the Garmin folder already (gmapbmap is the basemap, so leave that). gmapprom is probably the OEM detail map supplied with the unit going by the date of it's .sum file. gmapsupp is a secondary [supplementary] detail map. Back them up to your PC and remove them, then proceed with one of Smokefree's suggestion by simply using copy and paste to add the required image/s to the Garmin folder of the unit and/or the SD card. The .sum files are only checksum files, you can delete them if you want.
