For your GPSMAP78 any image file posted in this thread will work if correctly unlocked and named as gmapsupp.img in an SD root folder named Garmin. It doesn't matter if it is an original untouched image file from an SD or a device, or if it has been compiled by you or someone else from a PC install version using MapInstall. It just needs to be correctly unlocked, named and placed.
PS: For problem-free extracting of rar files, use WinRar.
