Still having problems unpacking this still get incorrect password using unrarx, out of interest has anyone got the SD Image? or if all the files from post 1,5 are copied across will this work on a gpsmap78 like the official sd card would?

For your GPSMAP78 any image file posted in this thread will work if correctly unlocked and named as gmapsupp.img in an SD root folder named Garmin. It doesn't matter if it is an original untouched image file from an SD or a device, or if it has been compiled by you or someone else from a PC install version using MapInstall. It just needs to be correctly unlocked, named and placed.

Sorted, i think the problem was at my end! i have now transferred the sd card the files were on and using winrar on a windows based pc it all seems to extract fine!! ta for all the help guys!

Hi Roger,
I have downloaded a map you have [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], but there seems to be a problem. There are just empty spaces instead of Capitals on a map (Riga, Vilnius, Tallin). Could you tell me what the problem it might be?
