The good manner is checksum for files! Pity that we do not use this manner here. The one exception for this method is gmapprom.img. But really this file is the same for all besides a some different values in the beginning of file. It are time and date of creation. I usually calculated checksum (md5 for example) not for whole gmapprom.img. I mark the block from GARMIN (x42) to end of file and save checksum for it. In the next time when I get new gmapprom.img file from webupdater I only check checksum for this block. If it is equal I have full assurance that no change took place in it!Originally Posted by lolypop000

Today CNE manifests are the same than some weeks ago, so nothing has changed. (same files MD5)
You can compare,two .xml files attached.
Express or Mapupdater use manifest to download files , you can check in SetupLog.txt at
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Map Update
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Sorry for this seeming flurry of posts! I am, however, stumped. Have downloaded the Benlux and France (Unlocked) but when I double click on the file, the Izarc .rar doesn't want to add the file(s) and a separate "pop up box" appears; for what purpose I have no clue. What am I doing incorrectly?
