I think there is another error. Normally the D3xxxxxxx.jcv files are for the Nuvi 7x5 and older models that have junction view.
Has anyone verified that D1279190A.JCV is the correct one and NOT D3060110A.JCV?
Given that the mapset isn't officially out yet, I wouldn't be surprised there are more errors discovered.

I have a nuvi 760. Reading elsewhere I think I can put the unlocked image named as either gmapsupp.img or gmapsup1.img in a folder named Garmin on an SD card. If I want to leave my present map of US in the unit, can I just de-select it and use the new map from the card or do I have to replace the detail map in the internal memory? Sorry to be such a noob guys, be gentle won't you?

Hi All. Sorry to show my lack of knowledge... but I have a Nuvi 765 and want to put the latest 2014.20 on it.

Exactly what files do I need to copy/replace onto the Nuvi 765 in order for it to work properly.

I assume I need an "unlocked" img of the map itself correct ? But specifically which JCV file works and do I need a new gmap3d.img file or others for my specific nuvi unit ?

I seem to recall you need a new version of each file that is compatible with each version of the maps.

That's more than most noobs would know, and you're correct in all that [umm [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and knowledgeable, maybe he really isn't a US native]. Best to always have 'unofficial' maps on the SD leaving the OEM/official map on the device but unchecked in 'Map Info', then if you have a problem just pull the card out.

Maybe a typo and Roger meant 2xxx, but in any case there are models other than US/EU 2xx that do support JunctionView, e.g. SG/MY:

I understand it was a typo, but I'm glad it happened. Now I learned something new today about the SG/MY model of the nüvi 255W. I wonder if it is just a matter of using the right FW to adapt a US/EU model the same way... Thank you in any case for sharing this video!
