Which Nuvi do you have ?
In Some Cases the Maximum size is less than 2 Gigs.

I tried 1 country and it worked the device recognized the map. As for size, it is exactly 2.89 GB not 3.89 as I had thought so a 4 GB disk card should be ok. So if it's not the card size, what is it? Thank you for your input
