My Two Bob's worth on this. We haven't had a problem in the AUNZ 2014.10 'pre-release' thread and i believe that's because Roger added this to Post #1 shortly after monterra posted the map:
Additional files were posted by helpful members and were added to Post 1 or links to the member's post with the file links were added along with explanations of what was available. When the map was released on 14th June, I changed Rog's note to this [still with the warning]:NOTE by MOD:
This map has'nt been released yet
Additional files will be posted as they become available.
Each request will be trashed and given REP-.![]()
I also posted this Post #7 in there on 14th June:NOTE by MOD:
This map now been released 14th June
Additional files will be posted as they become available.
Each request will be trashed and given REP-.![]()
More files were added until finally only ASR1 files were lacking. I then changed the note to simply this:
and added this at the base of the post:This map now been officially released (14th June)
So from the date of initial posting a bit over a week ago we haven't had any problems like here. BUT ... this initial posting was made 5 or 6 weeks ago so the frustration levels of ppl wanting to get the extra files would be much higher. Still, i think the fact that Rog adding a warning to post 1 there and and subsequent linking/adding of files to post 1 would have greatly helped in stopping useless requests in the AUNZ thread.Note: The only additional/ancillary files presently not posted as of 17th June seem to be the 37xx specific ASR1. If you have them please post to share with others. Thanks.![]()
I hope that our sweet Caty can convince monterra to keep posting these maps. He/she has made an incredible contribution with only a handful of posts to date. I'm sure everybody greatly appreciates that contribution and nobody is trying to deliberately cause upset or offence, but if i were in monterra's shoes i think i would have reacted exactly the same way as in that post above. I think a few PM's or Visitor Messages from some of the ppl who have inadvertently caused this problem might go a long way towards soothing those justifiably ruffled feathers.
This post is also quite OT, so it's OK for it to join the rest of those [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] when it's had a chance to be read by all concerned. Peace Brothers & Sisters ...![]()
