If Caty or Roger want to delete or trash all our posts associated with your problem i'm fine with that. Myself, i think its worthwhile keeping them to underline two things:

1. This is why we tend to shy away from torrent downloads for these big map files. It's not like with a movie file where if a few bytes get stuffed up here or there the movie will still play. There can be corrupted dl's from hoster sites too, it just isn't as common as with torrents.
2. These problems are also quite common with unlocked images, which is why we recommend getting original MS versions or locked images.

All's well that ends well though. We're just glad you're sorted.

Yes CNNAM NTU doesnt exist

Your 42 uses the D3478080A.JCV file available in post #22 with this NT CN. This is the map & jcv supplied by Garmin for x0/x2 units in NA.

But in my navigator don't have map of America but there is the map of Eurpe NTU

I think that you're maybe confused because Garmin issues only the Unicode CN map version in EU for modern [Cyrillic-capable] Nuvis, concurrently with the 'non-unicode' NT for other devices not capable of reading Cyrillic and some other language characters. In the NA market it issues solely the non-unicode CN version and additional files because the same demand from Cyrillic etc users does not exist as it does in EU.

However, your 42 [like all other Cyrillic capable-units] operates perfectly with either type of map. If you need more info: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
If you need even more info post elsewhere because this is OT here as catymag points out.

in fact I have the map of Europe unicode and wanted to know if it was enough to download the map of america to put on my sd?
I expect to find the map of america NTU...

North America is available in NT only, You can use this Map in all recent Nuvi devices including Nuvi 42.

Would anyone care to upload all from post #2 to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] They gave free 50gb. I can't download any since i had to wait an hour or so to download the next.
