So just for clarification:
gmapsupp.img is the same as gmapprom.img
right?
Will GMAP3D.IMG and JCV files follow?

Hi Merry Map makers.
I have put CN NA 2014.10 onto a SD card and it works with my nuvi 3790t, my question is should I expect to see a Cnna Dem entry in the map info ?
I have CN Europe 2014.10 on board and it has a Cneu Dem entry.
If I need a DEM map for NA where do I get from and where do I put it ? and where is the Cneu Dem file held as I think I have missed it my study of the file listings
Any help/info will be gratefully received as I am going squared eyed reading previous posts.

Basically, yes, just named differently. Both names will work in .system folder of newer nuvis and Garmin folder of older ones. gmapsupp.img is universal for SD/microSD in Garmin root folder.

Sorry for asking this. I'm sure there is already an answer on forums, but I've done an exhaustive search and couldn't find a way to install the CNNA in Mapsource uting the City Navigator North America NT 2014.10.gmap folder. Could someone clear me up, please? Thanks in advance!

Have you downloaded a Mapsource Gmap folder ?
copy it in:
(in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps) or
(in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps)
You'll have your map in Mapsource.
To unlock use:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
or
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You have to navigate to get to the good.

I've alredy done that way, but... VOILÁ, my fault! Inside the gmap folder there was another gmapf folder. I just fix it and MS is already showing them.
Well, I can't say Thank You as a forum rule, but..
