Hi Merry Map makers.
I have put CN NA 2014.10 onto a SD card and it works with my nuvi 3790t, my question is should I expect to see a Cnna Dem entry in the map info ?
I have CN Europe 2014.10 on board and it has a Cneu Dem entry.
If I need a DEM map for NA where do I get from and where do I put it ? and where is the Cneu Dem file held as I think I have missed it my study of the file listings
Any help/info will be gratefully received as I am going squared eyed reading previous posts.
Many thanks

Hello. I got a new Kenwood DNN990HD which is the 2013 model. I think it uses D3191090A.JCV for the Large format split screen junction view? Does any one know which ASR/SRX files it uses for 2013.10? Not sure if it would be the Nuvi 3400 or 3700 ASR files?
Thank you for replaying. Unfortuneately, Kenwood locks the image so it is hard to access the internal disk drive to see file names or file contents. I unzipped their latest firmware update for this model but unfortunately there were no files in it that ended with SRX or ASRI was hoping someone might know another way of finding them. I tried ASR for "Nuvi2595 for Nuvi 25xx" named 048UHSE8.SRX and 048UHSE9.ASR - says feature not enabled for North America. Downloading another set for another model and trying that one.
Also just tried the SRX/ASR files for Nuvi2595 for Nuvi 25xx named 048UHSLG.ASR, & 048UHSLD,048UHSLE,048UHSLF and 048UHSLC.srx - no worky too. Any others out there to try?

Well, you need at least the whole of US & CA anyway. So if you have either CNNT NA ALL or Lower 49 US with AL/CA without a single tile missing it should be ok. Assuming you're using an American TTS voice, you also need one of the US dialect srd files depending on whether your unit uses the ASR1 files from 3790/2460 or the ASR2 files from 24/25/34/35xx. The former is English_American.srd and the letter is en_US.srd and the srd file is also located in the ASR folder. If you have the wrong type of srd that's also a problem.

Gret news! I got it to work.
I forgot that my wife had a DNX9980HD which I had previously installed the 2014.10 NA maps. The voice recognition works perfectly on the 9980. I pulled the SD card and the ASR files were named 046VN669.ASR and 046VN668.SRX. I have no idea where I got them from though!
I plopped these files in the \Garmin\ASR directory of the SD card for the DNN990 and it kind of was very confused. Thought I was not going to work but I disabled the default OEM maps that came with the unit - there were two including the 3D view. I rebooted and it worked!
I have no idea where I originally got these files though. I did a search and it appears that 046VN669.ASR is for 2013.30. Is there an updated file(s) for 046VN669.ASR & 046VN668.SRX for 2014.10?

You need 37xx ASR files and they're posted in this thread, see post n1 for links.
Every map release has its own ASR files release, old ASR files cant work with new map.
New maps need new addition files, old ones cannot work.
Addition files are posted in maps threads along the map, when available.

Thank you! I see the procedure. I used 048UHSE9.ASR and 048UHSE8.SRX as advised. One MUST disable the original built-in Maps. It also seems that you must give the unit a chance to boot up all the way before using the voice recognition. If you try it too soon before it is finished booting, then you get the message Voice Command support is not available for American English.
