Sorry for a bit of bad news -- when you simulate a route in Bangkok and check the turnings, at several junctions I am getting a junction view black screen with "pirated copy". I will remove the JCV files and see if there is any improvement. bummer!

Tried first without Jet Mouse Unlock. JCV Problem as above
Next Unlocked Map. JCV Problem as above
Removed JCV. No "Pirated Copy" Messages.
Brief web search indicates JCV may work only on an Asian Garmin Unit. Mine is a 3490LMT from Europe. Apparently, there is no unlock for JCV available.
Map and routing works fine. Only no JCV.

Asian unit can not use Thai jcv. You must use Thai firmware. Originally Posted by suger4spice

US/EU fw devices cannot use any Asian JCV files, which are encrypted. Some models (e.g. 1xxx series) will crash & reboot when trying to show an asian JV. Others such as your 3490 will pop a black screen. Because all Asian jcv files are encrypted differently, asian devices see only their own jcv and cannot see other asian jcvs, but they show a more polite message about needing xx software to see them. I tested with my garmin m10 thai firmware , the jcv is working . on my m10 sg/my the jcv is not working .

Yes, maps say RC1 - but that is Garmin's designation for the first release of 2013, so.... it is not a beta.... I have the dual language and it works better than the 2012.40 version. Much faster in search and make routing.
