This mapset includes the routable tar and gravel road network detail for 27 African countries.
The included countries are:Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, DRC, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius,

Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Extract .EXE file with WinRAR, SSA_2013.1\SA Streetmaps\ contains GMAP folder
copy gmap folder in:
(in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps) or
(in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps)
You'll have your map in Mapsource.

Garmap Sub Saharan Africa Streetmaps 2013.1 - NT

This edition provides a new version of the popular Garmap Sub-Saharan Africa Streetmaps as the data set has been revised and updated. Coverage for the map set is 29 countries, over 1.38 million kilometres of routable roads, a massive 3 million kilometres of non-routable coverage and over 570 000 Points of Interest (POIs). POI coverage increased in Ghana (33%) and Uganda (10%). Routable kilometres increased in DRC (87%) and Botswana (21%).

This Map has been Pulled / Recalled due to currently unknown reasons.

Hi

Downloaded the map from Garmap and extract it like always and unlocked the maps. The problem is it do not show in Mapsource. If I go to Utilities and then Manage Map Products the map is there and says Not Lockable but it does not show. Any ideas why not?

Look in the Mapsource Map Dropdown list to see if the Map is listed Select It.

Try Control G Control G - This Switches off Detailed map and Then Switches on detailed Map

I do not know were the drop down list is what you are talking about. The map does show in Manage Map Products.

First look if your Mapsource is not set to show the basemap only like suggested by Dasilvarsa

Google is powerful, try to use it

Try to install any other map.
But Mapsource is discontinued, try Basecamp instead.

Thank you all for the fast reply's. I downloaded Basecamp, but how do I get the Garmap to show in the new software. Are there a tutorial here or can you help me.
