What I've should have said int the first post...... Someone post a message that he cannot see the map in mapsource after he copied it to the specified folder and I though to myself how stupid. See, I've been doing it for so long, guess what, it just happen to me.

Extracted it, it is in the correct folder, start mapsource and nothing, nada, null. Just cannot see the map being displayed in the pulldown. Not even a message at this stage that tells me it is locked.

@dasilvarsa, you brute! thanks, I had both this version and the previous in the maps folder. Cut the previous one and NOW it work!!!
