Mapsource is discontinued unfortunately: Garmin doesnt support it anymore.
I made a search in Belo Horizonte and it crashed, probably MS is not good to handle successfully City Navigator maps anymore. I guess it works fine in Basecamp and may be Mapinstall could send img correctly to devices.
I'd try it.
It happened with CNE recently with Italy map, we made some tests too and in Basecamp it worked fine.

Edit: tested in Basecamp, zoom is buggy, Some tiles dont show and appear gray zooming.
Something weird in it, IMHO is buggy.

Edit2: new version posted on 19-1.2013 works fine

I do not know if we are talking of the same map. Our case is with the City Navigation Brazil 2013.40. The CNSA normally works, including in Belo Horizonte. I think, as I said, the problem lies in extracting the map of Brazil.

Roger & Caty, I'm tipping that your MapInstall generated images will be ok. I also had a problem recently with a CN img from MS, but not from MI. I think garmin is going to make it even harder to use MS successfully in future. They should just cut it loose with the source code but i bet they won't. Slight OT sorry.

Not tested in nuvi coz I doubt it would work fine.

A known wanted to extract the CN Brazil from CN SouthAmerica with Gmaptool. I alerted that could have problems, but he insisted and the result was similar to what is being reported: address search failed. Thus, it is likely that the CNBR with the problems mentioned have been taken also of the CNSA with gmaptool, in other words, that this may not be the official version of Garmin for Mapsource/Basecamp.
