I put the img-file of topo Germany 2012-Entire Country, on my Oregon300, including the sql-map with de db-file (although my Oregon doesn't work with Activerouting) and I have no problems with viewing the map in the surrounding Düren/Kreuzau on my gps.
I will try to make a img-file from Mapsource (from the gmap-version) and see what is happening than on my gps. I let You know.
(By the way, that area is near the Belgium border and Topo Germany stops at the border, so the map also stops there )

Maybe You can also use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to see if there is a problem with the map on your gps. The program gives you information on detected (possible) problems and gives you information of the map Coverage (gives you a map with the segment coverage show).

@complement: I made a gmapsupp.img for the whole topomap with Mapsource from the gmap-installation. Viewing on my gps gives no problems for the area in Düren/Kreuzau.
Reading the img in JDM gives me "no problems" and for that area the following maptiles:
    02819421: Geilenkirchen
    02819422: Duren
    02819447: Aachen
    02819448: Zulpich

You must see them in het submap Product1 of the gmap-installation.

Maybe there are some tiles corrupt on your PC and You can trie to unpack/install the download again or download again.

@bommelb - thxs a lot for your suggestions, i will check - in the meanwhile i deleted the recreational map europe from my 62st (i don't need it anyhow) and loaded the Topo Deu 2012 into the 62st main memory - guess what - the tile shows up ;-) - i think that will work now AND it gives me free space on the 8GB SD card (yes, the 62st works with 8GB !) to put the rest of europe TOPO maps on it - happy now ^-^

i found it out - map conflicts between Topo Benelux and Topo DEU 2012 - Giomen was right - thxs for all your great support - my little contribution to the Forum could be that Oergon and 62St work with 8GB SD and not only with 4GB SD as stated in the GPS Systems part of the Forum - ;-)

You do not read this thread carefully. I wrote a many times that Oregon and 62St work fine with 16 and 32Gb SD as any modern Garmin device!

Okee, thats some new information. Also Topomap Benelux active in your gps. Always have 1 (one) map active in your gps in combinaition with the Basemap. Otherwise you have problems with mapviewing and routing ! Although topomap Benelux has a drawpriority=24 and topo Germany=30 (higher) there are problems when both maps are activated in your gps.

Other issue: deleting recreational map: I hope You made a backup ! Why buying the sT version and then deleting I'm wondering. The recreational map is not routable but has very good DEM (elevation) information in the map. So if you have other (topo) maps in your gps and these maps has no DEM, you can use the DEM-information from the Recreationalmap. I suggest you keep the recreational on the gps.

hi bommelb - i have all of europe covered with topo maps and for mountainbiking the recreational map is not worth much, for which reason i deleted it - yes, i have a backup and thxs for the hint
wrt to several maps active at same time: if you do MTB tours e.g in the Eifel or around Sothern Bavaria alps, you touch several contries (e.g Germany, Netherlands or Austria, Switzerland) and you don't want to switch maps all the time -> much more convenient to have them active and do the riding - i never encounteres issues before, this BeNeLux/DEU is the first time i saw such a behaviour (and only on 1 tile) - i believe Garmin has an issue here and i hope the rectify it in one of the next version - thxs !

Try put the card in SD slot. Then if you will have a problem you can write the card model and brand. While I see in your post only a words: Car may drive 100 mile with 3 gallon.

    From Garmin FAQ:
What is the largest size microSD card I can use with my GPSMAP 62 or 78 series device?
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

The GPSMAP 62* and 78 series devices have an expandable memory slot into which a microSD** card can be inserted. This card provides the ability to install detailed mapping to enhance the device's internal basemap.

A standard speed card, no larger than 32 GB, can be used in order to get the best performance from the device. Class 4 to Class 10 is considered standard speed.

While considering memory limitations, another limitation is the number of individual mapping segments. Roughly 3,000 mapping segments can be transferred to the GPSMAP 62 or 78 series.

This series will pick and choose which map segments to show when the map segment limit is surpassed. It is suggested to transfer additional mapping segments to another microSD card.

*The GPSMAP 62 does not have a microSD card slot.

I think actually the map segment limit is 4000, and maps supported number with the latest firmware v4.30 should be 22

The whole map of Topo Germany 2012 Pro is about 2.3 GB - so it is to big for Mobile XT.
