CityXplorer North America 2013.10(AIO file)+16 cities 2013.20 collection FID 800

Setting the walking limit to "no walking" didn't make any difference. I still have to walk all the way to the railway station.

Now, thinking about it, I'm sure I have unrealistic expectations. In large cities, there is a huge amount of possible combinations of places, targets and public + walking routes that are way above the processing capabilities of the relatively meager processors inside a GPS device. Google Maps is using very powerful super servers to provide all those detailed driving, public transit and walking directions from anywhere to anywhere. A portable GPS device can't possibly compare to that! It still doesn't mean that charging $9.95 for the very limited capabilities of CityXplorer (for public transit directions) is justified. The only acceptable variant for spending $9.95 for one city CityXplorer map, is when you travel to some city outside the coverage of the built in GPS map and you don't want to spend more for the map of the whole country where that city is located. That of course is acceptable only if you never heard of catymag!

Hello, Fellows!

I have bought Garmin nuvi 2450LM with North America maps. I live in Russia and sometimes I need to travel to North America. So my problem is that I can't see cityXplorer maps. I have CN North America 2013.10 in the internal memory, on the 16GB microSD card I have CN Russia 2013.10 and CN Europe 2013.10. North America maps are legal, Russia and Europe are from torrents and came unlocked. All these CN maps are working smoothly in the drive mode. I want to load cityXplorer. I took 10 digit ESN number from my device, generated unlock code for FID800 (no PID2, other options by default) then I put CXNA 2013.10.img + CXNA 2013.10.unl in the "Map" folder on the memory card. Go to simulation, set position somewhere in Montreal and try to see EPM - no luck.
1. I renamed files to gmasup3.* - no luck
2. I put them in the internal memory \.System - no luck
3. Put to the "Garmin" dir on the memory card - no luck.
4. Tried to generate unlock code for my CNNA 2013.10 maps (FID:2360 PID:2) - no luck

According to specs 2450 supports EPM, but may be I use the wrong method to unlock? I use small maps and tried JM keygen 1.5 with checksum fixed and 5 digit keygen - result is the same. What do I do wrong?

This procedure is correct. If you have CN North America 2013.10 in Nuvi you can use small CX+.unl file made with JM and FID 800.
Nuvi will display a message about the usage of CX at start.
You wont see small CX in maps list, but it will ask if you want Pub. transports before calculating the route.
Try to redo the .unl and check files naming in Map folder in sd.

I've set the walking distance to less than half mile. As I said, it still directs me to walk five miles to Hollywood Rail Station, although there is a bus station at 1/4 mile from home where I could board a bus to get me there. I'm going to try your advise for "no walking" to see if it makes any difference. Thanks!

Answer me pleas as a guru - is it dangerous to publish my device' id? My travel date is approaching and I would like to ask an assistance here how to add cityXplorer to my device - show my device id and generated unlock code? Is there a way my device ID can be used by someone for fraudulent or other purposes?

Yes, dont publish it.
No other infos are needed , just generate the .unl with Jetmouse kg and FID 800-
Use this JM
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

If all is ok , Nuvi will display a message about the usage of CX at start.

OK, I've done it again (for the 10th time) and it doesn't work again.

It doesn't say anything about CX on start.
That is how I unlocked the small map:

This puzzled me, because I tried to see this message... Or see the message at startup that CX is enabled.

I will answer my question - last WE I traveled to to Europe by car and I spend some time on the state border between Russia and other Europe and had time to play with my garmin. I found this indication at least! In the main menu one can tap the left upper corner of the screen where sattelite signal strength indication on the car icon, and then will appear menu "transportation mode" and there is this indication - powered by cityXplorer! I have no CX for Europe and I didn't test it, but I will test test CX in North America soon because I not always have a rented car in NA.
