Setting the walking limit to "no walking" didn't make any difference. I still have to walk all the way to the railway station.
Now, thinking about it, I'm sure I have unrealistic expectations. In large cities, there is a huge amount of possible combinations of places, targets and public + walking routes that are way above the processing capabilities of the relatively meager processors inside a GPS device. Google Maps is using very powerful super servers to provide all those detailed driving, public transit and walking directions from anywhere to anywhere. A portable GPS device can't possibly compare to that! It still doesn't mean that charging $9.95 for the very limited capabilities of CityXplorer (for public transit directions) is justified. The only acceptable variant for spending $9.95 for one city CityXplorer map, is when you travel to some city outside the coverage of the built in GPS map and you don't want to spend more for the map of the whole country where that city is located. That of course is acceptable only if you never heard of catymag!![]()
