Upgraded my Nuvi 3790 to CN NA 2013.10 and CX NA 2013.10 small.
Did a simulated pedestrian route in NYC, and it worked fine.

I wonder if there are any other members of this forum who have tried CXNA 2013.10 small or full on an US purchased GPS with life map updates and the last version of CityNavigator, 2013.10 downloaded from Garmin?

I have four GPSs in the house; a nuvi 2360LMT, a nuvi 2595LM, a nuvi 1390LMT and an old, but still working perfectly nuvi 360. I've tried both small and full CXNA 2013.10 on the three newer models, loaded in internal memory \Map folder, then again in SD \Map folder (deleting the files in internal memory first).

On all three devices, the small version looks like it's working (I get the Pedestrian mode Powered by CityXplorer maps in the transportation selection screen; I also get the Public Transit option when I press Go in pedestrian mode). However, all three GPSs after calculating the "Public Transit" route, come up with only walking turn by turn directions.

On all three devices, the full CXNA 2013.10 version does not show in the MyMaps list and of course the Public Transit option is not available when I press Go in pedestrian mode.

I may not be very bright, but I'm IT so I don't make simple mistakes like file naming, not using the keygen correctly, etc... I suspect that CXNA 2013.10 small or full, available on this thread, doesn't work if official version of CNNA 2013.10 is installed on the GPS as a gmapprom.img file in the hidden \.system folder located in internal memory. They work for sure (as catymag proved with the screen captures above) if CNNA 2013.10 is loaded as a custom named img file in the \Map folder of internal memory or SD card. I may be wrong, so I'm asking if there is anybody else with US devices updated regulalrly from Garmin, who has this package working?

Many, many thanks to catymag for providing all these maps and for his continuous expert support of this forum!

I have Garmin Lifetime MapUpdate for Europe ONLY. I live in Europe. I downloaded CN NA 2013.10 from post #1 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] used GMA unlocker (attached in the threat) Generate the .unl file for the map. Added small CE 2013.10 with .unl file generated with FID: 800 0 0 0 for the rest of the fields. ... and everything looks fine.

I did the same for Europe map. I have CN EU 2013.10 + CE 2012.40 ( small and full - both versions I had tried) none of these mentioned above worked !!! I even tried the special map for 37xx series. Did not work either.

    So keep trying.

My nuvi is 3790 flashed to 3490 !

Unlocker cant unlock EPM, the rest of the CX is already unlocked.
Again and again Unlockers dont unlock public transports features
Dont waste your time, read instructions in threads, All the latest CX maps posted are tested working in 34xx,37xx,1xxx ,CX EU one in 2xxx too

Latest EU and NA CX in 1200, one is small version and the other is full version:

    I assume that:
Added small CE 2013.10 with .unl file generated with FID: 800 0 0 0 for the rest of the fields.
quotted from your previous post, is just a typo. The defaults on the keygen are 1, 0, 0 and these are also catymag's instructions on how to unlock CXs:

To unlock them create an .unl file with JM kg and FID 800- The PID needed are 1, 0, 0 (the default ones). The names of .img and .unl should be the same, different extensions.

I need to answer my own, previous question "if CityXplorer NA 2013.10" posted in this thread is working with Garmin GPS devices that have LM (life map updates) in the name and their software and maps are regularly updated from Garmin. It turns out that the packages posted here WORK (!) with these devices as well. However, it also turns out that CityXplorer itself is not AT ALL consistent in its coverage and it's HARDLY worth $9.95!

I discovered that using the small, or full 2013.10 package when I want to go, using public transit, from home to either Fort Lauderdale or Miami airports, I get only walking turn by turn directions to both airports, although they are in 12 and 20 miles driving distance and I could take two buses or one bus and the rail to reach both these airports. However, if I want to go go to Miami Zoo (and other targets in Miami as well), I get turn by turn walking directions for five miles, to reach the Hollywood rail station, but then it says "take the rail" and shows all the stations from boarding to the destination!!. It seems that from my home, I can't get directions to use the bus, no matter where I want to go, although there are several bus lines in less than half mile distance. Also, I get directions to use the rail for some destinations, but not for others (like not for both airports mentioned above which both have their own rail stations).

I've tried in GPS simulation mode for other US cities I know, like LA, Chicago, Las Vegas, etc... It turns out that the coverage is as unequal as in Miami metro. There are parts of the "covered" areas that don't give directions for using the bus at all, some are giving bus directions for some targets, but not for others, and some are always giving bus directions. Same is true for trains, rails, etc...

I didn't try, but I assume it is the same with the European cities. My conclusion is that when you are a pedestrian, make sure you have Google Maps on your phone. Google will give you DETAILED information about using public transportation, including boarding and arrival times. Forget about your Garmin GPS for this kind of traveling. These devices are very good only for turn by turn walking or driving directions.

Have you set Limit Walking in your Pedestrian setting? In my city I've set it as No Walking and I get trams, if I set it ,for example, less than 2 km, I get underground stations instead.
EPM varies in cities , some cities are well covered ,some not enough, You can see coverage on product page at Garmin. Some CXs dont have EPM at all. The latest CNA CXs have been implemented a bit. MMR file is bigger than in the previous version
