I'm a bit bushed as to what Garmin is doing with JCV for Au.

In 2012.20 map release, D3299010A was only 17,999KB.
In 2012.30 map release, there were 2 jcv's that i know of, D2867040A (31,133KB) and D3299020A (47,086KB) same series as previous D3299010A but nearly 3 times as big...ok, i know it might be a compression thing, but that much bigger is weird.
In 2012.30 map release, the 3xxx file was D2867050A (31,148KB) and now for 2013.10 the 3xxx is D2867060A (31,016KB) both similar size to D2867040A (31,133KB).

On a 12km stretch of the M3 from BNE CBD south to the Mt Gravatt exit at Kumpp Road, the D28670x0A series all have 3 jcv's and resolution looks the same as you'd expect. However, the D3299020A (47.086KB) has 4 views, and so has D3299010A (17,999KB), and i'm buggered if i can see any difference in the resolution. Wotsgoinon?? Anyone know?
