Unable to find any topo map on the Ciclonatur website anymore. Has the map been discontinued?
TopoLusitania is not bad indeed but do we have a choice?
After some productive years and steady progress it's still at v0.97 and it was published on june 2013!
OSM based maps of Portugal are the best choice at the moment, they are the only ones that are getting updated regularly and the amount of detail in Portugal is really good now. I can't advise OSM maps of France and Spain though, the official Garmin Topo maps of those countries are much better!Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
For what I have noticed concerning the 3 maps, and that can be told to help other hikers :
- Portugal OSM Map is the best for small trails/tracks and points of interest (hotel, supermarket, bar, restaurant, ...) but the worst for the town plans.
- Portugal Ciclonatur V5 is the most "esthetic" and the best for contour and relief lines.
- Portugal Topo Lusitania v097 has the best street plan and details of the towns and villages, some good POI but less than the first one.
Thus it can be a good idea to switch between them according to the needed information. The 3 maps are not heavy and can be stored and read on a single SD card.
The 3 maps can be downloaded from FILEFACTORY, where I have uploaded them today

OSM_VFP and Lusitania v097 are already on my PC.
Ciclonatur, I have v4. The first one's also including Madeira Islands (part of Portugal), Ciclonatur v4 not.
Ciclonatur v5 is in that way different ? I give it a try.
Openfietsmap has now also a map for Madeira (and Azores Islands, Canary Islands):
(look out: Ciclonatur v4 and v5 uses the same FID: 1970)Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

Hy Bommelb,
since you are interested in the Madeira Island, have a look at OSM map which is the more accurate with the levadas. Nothing for ciclonature, only routing for Topo Lusitania. If you expect to go there, the paper map is essential. You can go to my [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] where you 'll find scan of two. "Tour and Trail" is the best.
Hy mayake,
in can not find your scan from the map "Tour and Trail" on your web blog. Can your give me a little help?
Second or following page
Just found ciclo natur v5
here you go:
Kinda off topic but anyone has TopoEspSonoros (Topographic Portugal Map from the store Espaços Sonoros). They won't sell the map, you only get it with the purchase of a GPS in their store. I heard it is very good (they also have Morocco ADV topo map)
