Thread: CityXplorer Europe 2012.40 (all the CityXplorers in one file )

It can be a part of CNE, you'll see just the cities in the part you have loaded in nuvi , but if you use the small CX , must be CNE NT unlocked or the original with *.gma and *.unl and naturally the same CNE NT version.

Actually I just downloaded an Italy unlocked map (2012.40), it is ready to install in my 2gb mem card.

Also I am downloaded FullCXEU-2012.40 file, I guess that contains all citys from Europe. I will generate an unl for the FullCXEU-2012.40.

After that I am ready to drop all these 3 files in the Map folder into the SD???, is that enough???

Yes ,copy the Italy.img ,FullCXEU-2012.40.img and the FullCXEU-2012.40.unl in the Map folder

I have a Nuvi 3790, and loaded it with the new City Navigator North America 2013.10 and then installed City Explorer North America 2012.30 to the SD card.
The older City Explorer seems to work with the newer map.
It shows "powered by cityXplorer" in the "Transportation Mode" selection screen.

City Navigator Europe 2013.10 and City Explorer Europe 2012.40 seem to work together too.

Have done no other testing.

It would be helpful if you're mentioning anything about the CX EU 2012.40 package you're using, full with map data and MMR or small with only MMR data.
If you use the full CX map then everything is as expected. Otherwise it wouldn't be a full CX map.

Ballebar is right as always. You may just have been lucky so far. You should match the versions of CN & CX small (eg both 2012.30 or both 2012.40) or there will be conflicts.

New cityxplorer CNEU 2013.10 maps are not available on Garmin site
