There is one really BIG difference I see....
v7.1.1 now includes complete coverage of all U.S Great Lakes waterways that border Ontario (except Lake Superior).
There are over 400 more files and it is more that 50 MB larger.

try : load the gmapsupp.img in GmapTool / Advanced options / SPLIT tab/Create TDB for marine map -
GMapTool will create TDB for marine map. Map will be visible in Mapsource and HomePort but not in BaseCamp

So you can switch between both...

Copy "PV_complete.tdb.HomePort" to your original "PV_complete.tdb" file location.
Rename "PV_complete.tdb" to PV_complete.tdb.BaseCamp

Now you have:
PV_complete.tdb.BaseCamp
PV_complete.tdb.HomePort

Depending on which app you want the map to work on, make a copy of either file to the same location and just rename it to PV_complete.tdb

1. question: Does this work for other maps too with this .tdb file?
2. question: I created an .img file (with MapSource "Send to device" function), changed the Ms in header to 0 (using GMapTool) and put it on an USB stick (Garmin folder), but HomePort didn't accept it as a correct file. It checked it a while (green increasing line), but finaly rejected it. What did I wrong?

thansk because my v.6 is uninstalled, and i dont have old list, so i remember with v6. ontario lake and St-Laurent finish same place (v.6 and V7)
