..create a folder named Garmin on your sd-card and copy the gmapsupp.img into this folder..

Thanks for the reply fluorescent, i did and i think it worked, but what about copying the gmapsupp.img into the garmin folder already exist on my device, will that work?

You have options:

1) Gmapbmap.img Basemap (not routable use it for base map only)
2) gmapprom.img -->your map
3) gmapsupp.img -->another map
4) gmapsup2.img -->another map
5) gmapoem.img -->another map

I think that your model supports up to 3 maps at the same time
