Your best bet when looking where to go is to find a landmark closest to your destination street, or the name of the building if you know it rather than the street number or look it up on google maps to get an idea and then point the gps to the same location. I get the same thing you do anyway on my 260w just to confirm no matter what number I input it will show the same location you did but this was expected. I think when we search a street number it is just ignored since that data is not available or not available on all our roads and pinpoints to the center or certain point of the road, which is why its the same point if you enter 25 or 175 adb ave, no change on the map. It's pretty much the same thing no matter what street I enter it always goes to the center of the street regardless of the street number I input. Just to confirm it's not our units I also tried it in mapsource and same thing (except it starts at the beginning, middle of end of the street depending on what you select) but this is what I've been experiencing since the early days of roadguide and don't expect it to change soon.
^This is also why you do not see the number 23 displayed on the map/address when you hit go, simply because it is omitted since it does not have that data on standby. Example: try it with and without the number 23.. it should pinpoint to the same location. Meaning default point on that street, most likely start, middle or end of street. Do this for other streets and you should see the same thing.
Just remember roadguide is a community driven map it is written and compiled by locals and not done by a company so we can not expect the features of commercial maps (like lane assistance, traffic avoidance/updates, etc)
EDIT: Street numbers are available it depends on the method of how you unlocked your map. Read the rest of the thread for further info.
