Me too, i update my Garmin Asus A10 used the type3.exe. same error message "Can't find the unlock record"

How did you do update?
By putting the .IMG file into unit ?

I download the type3.exe

then run the exe file with connected my A10 with my PC

The easy way is., unrar and get .IMG file to put in unit (that use .img format).

You can get any type. (all contain the same .IMG file)

the file is EXE, now to unrar it?

when i double click the exe file, it automatic extract it, then the exe file will search devise.
