    Okay, I used the GPS in Israel for the first time and it worked fine. It butchered the pronunciation of every street though. I think I'd rather turn that feature off if someone knows how. Some times it said what sounded like a real, but different street so it can be confusing without checking the spelling on the map.

    One disappointment - there is a new road that was built about a year ago. That road was one of the reasons my old GPS annoyed me since it was too out of date to be recognized. Unfortunately, these brand new maps didn't know of its existence either. Also, I still can't get the hebrew fonts working to use it in Hebrew. If anyone was successful and/or has a tutorial for that, please let me know.

    If you enter settings and switch the language of the map to Hebrew it will no longer try to pronounce the street names. Try this once you get the fonts working. My unit (1350) had Hebrew fonts already built in so I can't help you there. Hope this helps.

    On my nuvi 1300, I followed Catymag's instructions and can activate my City Navigator Israel NT map. Hebrew labels and keyboard appear if I choose them. But if I enter text in Hebrew, I get "no matches found" messages. If I try to display Points of Interest in Hebrew I get unreadable symbols.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Elliot

    You have to navigate to get to the good.

    Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600

    Just to confirm - I have a 1350 which came with the font update already installed. When I use the above maps I get POI in Hebrew and I can do a search in Hebrew using the Hebrew keyboard. The maps work fine both in Hebrew and English once the Hebrew is installed properly.

    How do I get a Hebrew font update? I couldn't find a description in post 1.

    I see Hebrew fonts on the labels of icons, and when I enter text using the Hebrew keyboard, but the Garmin doesn't use the text. Doesn't find cities. On points of interest I see meaningless symbols, like a font is missing.

    I have used the Garmin WebUpdater multiple times,don't see a font update option.

    In preferences you can choose a voice that will not pronounce street names. I think it is listed as American English. This will fix the pronunciation problem. Hope this helps.

    Yes. I have all updates for Garmin 1350. Still get "no matches found" to Hebrew input, and gibberish on Hebrew map of POI.

    Cause the text input and voice is only available for Garmin customers who bought the map. It's available in the "My Garmin" area
