After installing MapSource version I have English caracters on map, no Turkish. See picture of Izmir for example.

You are right. Searching for Istanbul works, but istanbul doesn't bring any result
Why I get the feeling Basarsoft messed sth. up.

The NavCity 2009.06 worked not really well. Ankara showed up just half the city in detail, other city in grey. After upgrading, well deinstallation of 2009.06 and installing 2010.01 Mapsource did not start up. After manual deinstallation via registry Mapsource works again.
At the moment I would not get a clue what Basarsoft is doing with ... us.

Hello guys, i am new in this Forum: fantastic!
I own a Garmin Zumo 500 device.
I downloaded #5 post Turkey map for Mapsource and it works fine except this 2 issues:
-every time I select Turkey map in Mapsource it asks me for unlock code. I press Ignore and it works
-it's impossible to select the map with the tool to send it to the Garmin device!
This is not a real problem as I downloaded the gmapsupp.img and it goes very well in my Zumo but I'd like to have Mapsource fully working in any case.
Did anyone find a solution for this?

Just download the file, unzipp it and 1-click-instalation.

Map is fully unlocked. After installing it into RoadTrip for MAC, you can freely browse it and send map to your Garmin device.

Prerequisites: Garmin software for MAC: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

This file contains GMAP subfolder, which is also Mapsource compatible. Put the GMAP (not GMAPI) folder into location: in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps. (in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\maps)

mapsource version needs mapsource application on your pc
IMG unlocked can be copied directly in your gps
rename it gmapsupp.img or...

Hi All;

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1690 with latest firmware

I need 2010.01 Turkey map and downloaded the IMG Unlocked at post number 2 supplied by catymag

I put the unlocked img to F:\.system drive of Garmin (main drive where preload map located) as gmapsupp.img

But the device can not recognized it , In settings menu under maps section I can only see preload map: CN Europe NT 2011.10 and tgicked, no other maps

Any other suggestions please ? How can install this map to my nuvi 1690

probably you have to unlock it again if you have the newest firmware, use this

Hi catymag;

I tied Fast IMG Unlocker and give the locked img, it opened it and created an unlocked one.

But it id not work. I put the unlocked img to garmin f: drive like gmapsupp.img but can not see it in settigns -- maps

Any other ideas ?
