Only A Thai unit can run a Thai keyboard
Only a Thai unit can run JVC's
Version 10.1 still has problems ( if you take a none Thai unit to ESRI in Bangkok) they will only sell you version 9, STILL.
Yes there are exceptions, my friend has a unit from Malaysia Nuvi 765 and it runs JVC's when he uses the Thai version 10.1
Lets hope version 11 redresses all these and other issues, but as its Thai I doubt it

Not true for "Only A Thai unit can run a Thai keyboard" .
I confirm Nuvi 1xxx US&Eu can use Thai keyboard.
But Thai keyboard for Nuvi 1xxx Eu is a special one or the unit will get a problem.

O.K. I conseed you can run a Thai keyboard, BUT and it's a big one this is not for the newbie or average user, and a lot of reading and testing needs to be done as there are several factures to be considered.
If you are not expert or guided by one then you will end up with a brick, I have tried and there are keyboards out there that work.

Aekhong is not your average user, I bow to his knowledge in this matter, he's also very helpful, an asset to the forum.
