Default Help with loading Thailand (EN) V10 map onto Garmin 1490T GPS.

unlocked english img rename gmapsupp.img and copy in a garmin directory

Hi - I've just joined this forum and am still trying to find my way around so please forgive me if this request is in the wrong place or has been answered before!

I've got a Garmin Nuvi 1490T device and have successfully downloaded unlocked versions of both the V10 and V10.1 (EN) Thailand street maps with the help of this excellent website but have been quite unable to get my Garmin to recognise the files.
I've tried renaming them as suggested and have copied them onto a 4Gb MicroSD card in a "Garmin" folder but the unit does not recognise the file.
The only message I've had was "unable to unlock maps" when I named the file "gmapsupp" without the quotes and with no file extension.

Can someone please advise me? - I feel that I'm probably making some very basic error but I can't figure out what it is!

    Many thanks.

    Shootist.

No password for Thai .jcv file., It would be decrypted by Firmware. (ie Thai jcv with Thai firmware., Malaysia jcv with Sg/Mal firmware)
