You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600

Ok, thanks for the explanation, luckily its not another Garmin bug.
yes you'r right, I was looking for this lol, but today I'm a bit busy-
anyway I found it:uncheck City Navigators to disable the street mapping
and change your Map View either North Up - in my 62s the satellite images disappeared zooming in

Of course, north up is the only reasonable setting while sea navigation and all other maps are disabled in the marine profile of my Oregon.
But it is absolutely impractical when in some zoom levels the satellite images not disappeared. I often had situations, where I speedy had to zoom out for better overview and if there are only dark satellite images, where nothing to identify, it could be dangerous.
Did you tested some new (v11.50) maps on your GPSmap62s? On Oregon it is now possible to deaktivate the second part of the map, so that only the nautical map is visible. So are these new G2V maps are also good usable on Oregon/Dakota/Colorado.
@p!xeldealer
as you can see also in (v11.50) maps I dont have and can deselect the "second" map, but in my device the 2 maps are integrated,the satellite one seems to work like a basemap and particulars are shown and ,when you zoom in ,it lets the other one to show zones with more details: they work together at the same time-
You can see in some screens the 2 maps : the satellite one in some zones and the marine one in others at the same time in the map-
The more you zoom to see objects and the more the marine one is shown -

It is the same as on Oregon, if both parts activated (first line):
In second line you can see, what appears if the first part is deselected. So you can use the map for navigation at all zoom-levels. But it is only with map version 11.50 from 2010.
As described in my [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (of this thread), the OP links to an unlocked "VEU706L-UK & Ireland (10.50)" chart that has "Wrong MPS records size" when the details of the chart are viewed with GMapTool.exe.
Although you can do as I described in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (so the chart will work with a Garmin chartplotters), I've repaired this "Wrong MPS records size" error without having to remove the MPS subfile with GMapTool.exe.
This GMAPSUPP.IMG file can be downloaded with JDownloader from the attached file belowCode:Please Login or Register to see the links![]()

When I split the repaired VEU706L chart to use with mapsource, the log says that there are maps that exceed the 10 degrees. In Mapsource I have double or triple wreck symbols and buoys. Any idea what is going wrong?
Thanks!
