Some of the unlocked g2 Vision maps (like this one) that have been already unlocked by a 3rd party,
may not be recognized (not be displayed) or work correctly when used with Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter devices.
You can see if these type of unlocked "GMAPSUPP.IMG" files are effected by using "GMapTool.exe" as below:

View the "Details" of an Unlocked BlueChart g2/g2 Vision "GMAPSUPP.IMG File":
1 - Run "GMapTool.exe" and drag the "GMAPSUPP.IMG" file to the "GMapTool.exe" window.
2 - Click on the "Options" tab and check the "Advanced options" box.
3 - Click the "Details" button. "GMapTool.exe" will then switch to the "Log" tab and display all the details within the "GMAPSUPP.IMG" file.
4 - Scroll up to the 4th line. If the "GMAPSUPP.IMG" file is effected by this problem, you will see "Wrong MPS records size" there.
However, this problem ("Wrong MPS records size") can be corrected by removing the MPS subfile using "GMapTool.exe".
You will then be able to use the unlocked "GMAPSUPP.IMG" file with Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter devices.

If "Wrong MPS records size" is shown in step 4 above, you can correct this problem by continuing to step 5 below:

How to remove the MPS subfile with "GMapTool.exe":
Continuing with "GMapTool.exe" from step 4 in the above procedure, also do the below:
5 - With your mouse (while still in the "Log" tab window), highlight the name of the map
(to the right of "Mapset:") and then press Ctrl+C (prefered) or right-click copy (see "NOTE:" below!).
NOTE: (right-click copy/paste/search will not work with versions of GMapTool below 0.5.3.2655).
6 - Click on the "Join" tab.
7 - Click in the blank "Mapset name" field box and then press Ctrl+V (prefered) or right-click paste (see "NOTE:" below!).
NOTE: (right-click copy/paste/search will not work with versions of GMapTool below 0.5.3.2655).
8 - In the blank "Output File" field, type in filename and folder location that you want "GMapTool.exe" to create the new "GMAPSUPP.IMG" file without the MPS subfile.
Don't use the same filename if the folder location will be the same as the original file.
9 - Click (to check) the "Don't create MPS subfile" checkbox, then click the "Join all" button.

Wait a couple of minutes until "End" is displayed at the bottom of the "Log" tab window.
The created "GMAPSUPP.IMG" file should now work correctly with Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter devices.
