The closest you can get to "Garmin for Android" is to buy a 2nd hand garmin phone. That is unless you're in Australia, with Telstra, and fancy being hugely ripped off - The app is "free", but 2 x 6 month subscriptions @$49.95 = $99.90 which would just about buy you a new nuvi!
So what's with Garmin's marketing planning?.... It's kind of understandable they would ignore the Android app market when they had their own gps phones, but now? When there's millions of android phones out there and they can obviously do it easily. I've probably gone a bit OT here, sorry CatyCode:Please Login or Register to see the linksGarmin makes me even more insane than usual sometimes...Grrr.. I'd happily pay fifty bucks for a good garmin app if i had an android phone, which i don't...but it might even make me want to buy one.

I meant Garmin application on other brands phones ,naturally , for now we wont have, I think it's coz of an agreement made with Apple.

Yeah, sorry. I know what you meant and wasn't correcting you. I understand the cozy agreement with apple, but i still think they shot themselves in the foot there...android market is huge worldwide.
Interesting that Garmin let Telstra Australia slip through the net with the iphone v. android thing. I know i'm still off subject but i'll shut up about it after this: Telstra owns WhereiS, a huge map supplier to Garmin in Oz. Draw your own conclusions as to why Telstra has an android app for garmin but no one else in the world has. Garmin also uses Navteq (now a nokia co. as you'd know) but not as much. The WhereiS maps are not as good as Navteq in my experience. I prefer to use the Navteq truckies map, even the older one's are more up to date than the current WhereiS in a lot of cases. For instance, I live in a semi-rural area, in a cul-de-sac street that has existed for over 50 years. When i enter it, WhereiS thinks i'm off-road.... but not Navteq. I should stop bagging Telstra, not just 'coz i'm a shareholder but because they have far reaching tenticles.....oh, dear me... i think that's them at the door now.. aggghhh...
Garmin say that in 2012 will create Garmin app for android like app for iphone (onboard)
