What is if I have 3 different mapsets with say 2000 maps each and I enable always just 1 map. Does that work or will some maps not displayed?
I am now over 4000 maps and it seems to work, but I can not know if some might not be displayed.
Anyone know? If not the solution would be to put it on two different MicroSD cards or?
There is about 2000 single maps and max 2GB limit for one mapset (one .img file) on some devices (not all) and Garmin Mobile products (XT and PC), so spreading in few .img files should work on all devices.

    midnight:
this limit is increased to 4000 and 4 GB on the oregon. I just wonder if there is any other limitation. on the oregon any filename.img is accepted. I wounder if it would work if I use a 16 GB MicroSD and upload every .img I can find or if there is any other restriction.

Most garmin GPS are limited to 10 typ files. If you load more maps with typ, then some will be displayed incorrectly. I'm not sure if this is global limit or per img.

I will try installing that , I have a question I put the maps litterally almost everywhere starting from the main root folder of the garmin, then in /artful/garmin then in /rungmxt and then in /rungmxt/settings where do i put it, its unlocked so its just gmapprom.img and i also tried gmapsupp.img with the unl file. thank you for the quick response caty

I got everything up and running on the better version, I just need a little more assistance, When I search for an address the garmin keyboard does not show up but the chines small little keyboard does, is there a way to have garmins keyboard come up, also is there a way to transfer all my current garmin favorites on my c330 to the one on the navi. I would really appreciate it thank you so much.

    Are file names significant?
    Thanks!
it will use all the POIs files you have in POI folder
    poi names can be changed

    to unlock an unlocked IMG
rename the map gmapsupp.img and unlock with jetmouse keygen creating the unl file with notepad
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
on jetmouse keygen v1.5 put either the 10 digit gps unit id number (will be unlocked only in your gps)or the sd serial # (it will be unlocked in any gps you put the sd card
under-select map product --on the bottom ---custom map set---add the maps FID# also called mapid #
click generate a few times on the bottom-all those numbers will unlock the map--copy that 25 digit number into the gmapsupp.unl file --- don't add a enter --just 25 digits on the first line ----
on a sd card create a garmin directory--in that directory copy your gmapsupp.unl file (unlock file) and the gmapsupp.img (g2 map)
When you save the .UNL file in Notepad, be sure you set the "Save as type" to "All Files", not "Text Documents".

    to unlock a mapsource map

From the menu: Utilities/Manage map products->unlock regions->add->then enter id from Jet Mouse KG in first field and name of the map in second field.
