Well, you can use patched SW for trying them! Garmin does not give you a possibility to use a trying period, doesn't he? I am sure you will be surprised what all official maps from Here or local distributor are absolutlly outdated and incomplited. As result you will download free OSM and you do not see any diference. So the question?! Why buy the more expencive model with these miserable maps on local market if I can buy the more cheapper device with Europe map on the abroad and use OSM in Russia after that.

In any case I would install the patched official maps. It may be useful sometimes. But I do not want to pay for dummy map as much money as Garmin ask. Let me to decide! It is a personal problem of Here and me for example. When Here will accept my obvious corrrections and will put it in the map I may be pay with satisfaction. But for now Here constructor is a masurbation for myself. There are two year without any changes...

RGN'ing a firmware is only labelled 'screwing' by people who don't know what there talking about or are too digitaly illiterate and therefore lack the self confidence to commence the proces.
All fine by me but don't gloat with 'warranty down the drain' and stuff like that because you obviously misread a post.

My 61 doesn't hav BT problems, firmware 4.3 did.
