    @maxwarre,

    My 61 has worked from the first day I took it out of the box.

    I have done all my updates via WIFI or with Garmin USB cable.

    Running version 4.40 with no problems at all

    Bluetooth, Traffic and all the other items that came with this GPS.

    You are paying the price for screwing with a fantastic GPS Unit that you screwed up.

    And the warranty is in the toilet.......

    I have had over the years many Garmin GPS units and have never screwed with any of them.

    They all still work.

    If I needed an extra map that was not included with the unit I paid for it.
    I did not need to put a cracked or patched version on it unit just to put another map on it.

    And he stated things are not working like they should.

    This forum now can not even post Garmin maps anymore so the whole point of patching the 61 is a waste of time.

    He has already in an earlier post said he is not going to mess with his 61 anymore.

    So if that is BS to you OK........

    My 61 is working perfectly fine dude.
    I crack the firmware to be able to use al european Topo maps which is not possible with an uncracked firmware.

    4.4 had issues so i went back to 4.3 and was wondering if anybody tried to crack 4.5 ...but you clearly didn't understand the question and decided to give a lecture lol

    @maxwarre,

    The last thing I am going to take while hiking is my 61 it is to big and the battery does not last long it is not water proof.
    I am a professional hike and have hike all over south Belgium and Luxembourg.

    Never used Topo maps I had to pay for. There are many free Topo maps that are far better and are updated monthly.
    I use Garmin GPS that work far better in the outdoors.
    The battery life is up to 25 hours they are water proof and small enough to put in your pocket or hang around your neck.
    Leaving your hands free.
    With Free Topo maps you do not need to patch anything.

    @Giomen,

    I know nothing about how good or bad maps are for Russia.

    Patching a GPS unit still does not make the maps good or bad.

    @ asprin

    For hiking on foot i use my 62st, for motorcycling i use my Zumo 660 and for cycling i use my Edge Explorer.
    I use my 61 with Topo maps when we're on holiday with the camper van. It tells me where the streams, lakes, mountaintops and nice camping spots are.

    Free topo maps don't let you search by adress and are far less detailed than the Garmin Topomaps. Don't act like you're Mr knowitall, ok !
