No, i only want you to put the GarminDevice.xml file [either the empty one or the one showing software version '300'] and the GUPDATE.GCD file back in the Garmin folder [the one you uploaded for me to ZippyShare here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]]. Then power the unit on, leave it on for about a minute before shutting it down. Then connect it to the PC in Mass Storage Mode and open the GarminDevice.xml file to look at the 'software version' to see if it's still '300' or has changed to '330'.
i.e. look for this: <SoftwareVersion>XXX</SoftwareVersion> then tell me what 'XXX' is, 300 or 330.
