I'm using the hybrid method, and extracting the boot.bin from my device as the link to the gcd file you posted leads me to an html page full of question marks and gibberish and i wasn't sure if saving it as the file I wanted would actually make it the file I wanted. I don't think I've ever seen a point of interest popup on my device, even the speed cameras just ding and then disappear. Then again I have ad supported traffic and have seen nary an ad yet.
