Actually, I am not from Kansas, I just mistakenly pushed the wrong state when I entered sig data. That does get one noticed on Garmin forums LOL. I have an ex-military electronics tech do my reflowing. I get a price break but it is still not cost effective to fix these ill-designed ports. I get boxes of them in. This is one area where Tomtom got it right, put the port on the bottom. The other serious Garmin flaw is the scads of units bricked in their update process. The user installs an update and a low battery fails to complete the install, and voila, boot loop and eBay in that order. That takes about 30 seconds to fix and it's a shame tech support cannot walk the user through that, or include a simple instruction sheet. Ultimately, I guess the goal is to sell a new one rather than revive an older one.
