Tom, I've got hold of a 3790 AU (Same as US/EU) and voice command in German works fine. It doesn't much like my aussie accent, but Steffi does my bidding eventually.
Maybe the problem is with it being TWN version, although that doesn't explain why it worked for you initially with the earlier fw andyet still wouldn't work again when you downgraded to v2.10. The fact that Garmin is no longer offering the Deutsch_srd file anymore could be an indication of some recent incompatibility of the german srd file with the TWN device or fw, maybe?
PS: Did you notice my request [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]? Maybe it got lost in the 'white noise' of the rest of that post.
