Are you sure the .img is gmapsupp.img and not gmapsupp.img.img? Enable hidden estensions in Windows to check it.
As said ,if the map is unlocked with last version of FIU (previous ones can fail), it's correctly named gmapsupp.img and copied in Nuvi root internal memory ( not in a Garmin folder) , Nuvi will see it.
Can you post a screen of your Nuvi with files extensions enabled ? please

PS: as said in the post above mine, after loading a cure you must reflash the normal firmware in Nuvi or it wouldnt see any IMGs ,coz the cure is made for that: not to load wrong problematic IMGs -

Okay, I updated to 2.50 then calibrated using a NDS pen. The result is satisfying and actually very accurate as long as nails are used when typing instead of fingers! I think my friend should stop now eating his nails hehehe.

    NDS pen?

Ahhh...you mean a Nintendo DS stylus. That works just fine. I tend to use the stylus from either my old Windows Mobile smartphone (with Garmin Mobile XT still loaded) or my even older HP iPAQ 1945 on the extremely rare occasions I need to calibrate my 200W.
